Weed’s effect on memory

2021.11.29 08:34 Leon-XXX Weed’s effect on memory

Recently I’ve been reading a lot of articles that basically say frequent use of marijuana negatively affect memory. Im a weekly smoker, i get high about twice on weekends. Im also a student who’s studying subjects that REALLY need a whole lot of memory. Is there any evidence for the claims, has anyone here experienced memory loss, how often smoking is too much ?

I'm a hindu by my family's case but I feel more connected towards Jesus. I really want suggestions on how can I feel closer to appreciating his teachings besides reading the Bible. How many times should I go to church for praying? Also, what is the maximum age I can try becoming a nun until I die? Thank you in advance. I'm new to this community so please don't mind. I would love to know more.

2021.11.29 08:34 yokesh351 Bitcoin in Spanish: El Salvador Buys More BTC While Others Criticize

Bitcoin in Spanish speaking is a weekly newsletter from CriptoNoticias in which we review the most important news related to bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and blockchains in the Hispanic world.
After a week of much movement in El Salvador, bitcoin continues to be the protagonist in the Central American country. The government bought more bitcoins (BTC) despite criticism from international bodies.
Meanwhile, in Colombia there are also criticisms against cryptocurrencies despite the fact that the local currency, the peso, looks weak. On the other hand, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) continue to dominate the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem in the region. In this case, from Argentina to Venezuela.
Do you want to know more about current affairs in Hispanic countries? Next, we present the weekly summary of CriptoNoticias with the most important events for bitcoin , cryptocurrencies and blockchains among Spanish-speaking countries:
Argentina The first news that we highlight this week is about the Argentine Federal Blockchain , which brings together companies and institutions from the South American country. In more than a month, this blockchain has not presented activity , which makes citizens question its usefulness. Although we published the news in this medium on November 22, at the time of writing this newsletter the situation has not changed.
On more positive notes, we have the news that Belo, one of the brokers that exist in Argentina, incorporated almost immediate transactions with bitcoins through the Lightning network to its platform .
In Argentina, the NFTs are gaining strength, both in the sports world and in the entertainment world. The national soccer team launched its second token collection this week. For their part, artists such as Nikki Nicole and Babasónicos will do the same with the Ripio exchange.
Colombia In Colombia, the situation of the local currency, the peso, is not the best. During the week, the price of the dollar increased and approached 4,000 pesos for the second time this year. In addition, with Colombians using more and more online payment channels, bitcoin could be presented as an alternative for Colombians to protect themselves from the devaluation of their currency.
The latter might not like the former presidential candidate Gustavo Petro, who assured last Tuesday that cryptocurrency mining was very harmful , due to its energy consumption.
The Savior After the closing of Bitcoin Week in El Salvador and the news that they could issue new Bitcoin-based bonds, the government of Nayib Bukele continues to speak for its management of resources and the purchase of BTC. Taking advantage of a new drop in the price of the main development of cryptocurrency on the market, the Salvadoran government added another 100 BTC to its coffers.
The way in which Bukele has driven the adoption of cryptocurrency in his country has not been well received by everyone. In fact, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) again warned of the risks of Bitcoin. The Bank of England also joined the organizations that have shown their concern about what is happening in the Central American country.
Spain People don't wait for their respective governments to take steps like Bukele's. They use cryptocurrencies without the existence of a Bitcoin Law. In the case of Spain, a recent survey revealed that the majority are looking for profit or the possibility of having assets that are not under state control.
Also in the European country, the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) remains concerned about the presence of advertising dedicated to cryptocurrency investment platforms that are being investigated for suspicious activities.
Mexico "Buy bitcoin right now" is the advice of Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego. The recommendation came just after criticizing the monetary policy of the United States, which has inflated the issuance of banknotes to levels never seen before, something that Salinas called "irresponsible."
And precisely, one of the most renowned soccer clubs in Mexico, Tigres UANL, allied with the Bitso exchange. In addition to being a sponsor of the Mexican soccer First Division team, Bitso and the club will explore the integration of payments with bitcoin for tickets and souvenirs . They could even pay players with cryptocurrencies.
Venezuela The popularity of NFTs is evident among Venezuelans. According to the Finder firm, already at least a third of the population knows what these tokens are, which have gained a lot of ground as a source of income in this and other countries with economic difficulties.
The NFTs have even reached the Venezuelan government, which this week immortalized the Guinness Record obtained by the National System of Orchestras with a collectible token .
This week, in this newspaper we review the growth of Binance as an alternative for payments in shops in Venezuela. We also have the experience of paying with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the streets of Caracas.
Events of the week Among the events related to bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and blockchains in the region for this week, the following stand out in the CriptoNoticias calendar:

2021.11.29 08:34 richapeee Frage: Verluste realisieren

Guten Morgen,

2021.11.29 08:34 turtletails If you’re in a car accident and the other driver was at fault but you were also doing something wrong can you get in trouble? Will insurance pay out?

For example, if you get t-boned because the other driver ran a red light and was 100% at fault but you were also speeding (for arguments sake we’ll say your proof about the accident is dash cam footage that also has your speed) will the police bother with your speeding? Is insurance still required to pay out? Location: Australia but also any where else because I’m also curious about if it changes based on location.

2021.11.29 08:34 oddv8gue The frequent generation debates mostly happened because people found it weird that kpop generations don't share similar durations

Disclaimer because I know we are all traumatized by it - this is not a ''when did 4th gen start'' discourse, so I hope people read before replying. lol
I feel like people have a wrong perception regarding what realistically kick-starts a new generation, it is not the music style change, idols' ages, big company debuts, styling, idols enlisting, or any of that, those things can accompany it, but they are not the core. It's basically when the bubble is so inflated that it reaches a breaking point and it enters uncharted territory, thus it's defined by events but not just any events.
To put it simply, Seo Taiji is the pioneer of kpop and then H.O.T is the first idol group the way we know them today, and by proving the idol model is successful, 1st gen was kick-started. Creating the foundation is basically said ''event''. Then in my opinion 2nd gen was kick-started by Boa's breakthrough in Japan, it's no wonder a year and a few months after Boa had her breakthrough album in Japan, SM debuted TVXQ who later on with their fame in Japan solidified that 2nd get has indeed started. 3rd gen was kick-started by PSY's GS and its virality and then EXO solidified that a new gen has started by establishing their success a few months after GS and having a hit in 2013. Then, similarly, 4th gen was kick-started by BTS' breakthrough in the west in 2017 and their global success, which is similar to 2nd gen and Boa with the way the following year becomes the cut-off for a new gen by default, thus why 2018 is the year people put their sights on and you have every company, including the big ones, hurrying to debut their new ''batch'' of idols. A new gen basically starts when the kpop bubble gets inflated to a breaking point due to a group/artist successfully pioneering something, this opens a new door so all the companies rush to debut new idols that can be claimed as a new gen.
However, the real issue as to why it was a debate even though it was kinda obvious what year companies/media want to be the cut-off year, is because people find it weird that 3rd gen is shorter, basically from 2012 till 2017, meaning like 6 years, while 2nd gen lasted 8-9 years from 2003 till 2011, so a lot of people felt like 3rd gen was cut shorter than intended. So now the question that arises is whether 4th gen will parallel the duration of 2nd gen or 3rd gen.
I think many people have come across the claim that each new generation allegedly seems to be getting shorter than the previous one, I've seen it being mentioned a lot and used as an explanation/argument when people discuss this topic, but the problem with the ''each generation gets shorter'' argument is that by this logic 4th gen should be shorter than 3rd gen and I cannot see this happening if it began in 2018 which is the narrative companies and media already pushed onto people.
Not only this would imply we need to cut off 1 year from 4th gen by default as well which 1. if we keep doing this then at some point we will have a new gen every year which is ridiculous, so clearly there is a flaw in claiming such a pattern exists, 2. it isn't something that can be claimed in advance, it's way more likely instead that 1. the generations have RANDOM durations that are unrelated to a single pattern or 2. the durations rotate, which is what fans need to take into consideration.
So the real pattern I see is that Seo Taiji is the pioneer and as such should be seen as his separate entity of the pre-1st gen era since while he is the pioneer, he doesn't quite follow the idol model the way we know it today, that idol model began in 1996 with H.O.T's debut in September (first idol group the way we ''know'' them and to have commercial success), and when you line up the generations that way you will actually see a different pattern where 1st gen's length seems to parallel that of 3rd gen.
1st gen: end of 1996 - 2002
2nd gen: 2003 - 2011
3rd gen: 2012 - 2017
4t gen: 2018 - ???
When you place them like this, you can see that 1st and 3rd gen both lasted roughly 6 years, while 2nd gen lasted 8-9 years.
The reason people debated so much is due to people finding it weird that 2nd gen lasted longer than 3rd gen which raises the question of whether 3rd gen was cut short too soon and force-started or not, it has nothing to do with people not being able to find cultural or sound or success differences/markers that divide the generations, trends realistically change every other year, that's why even groups in the same generation won't necessarily have the same style of debuts/music genres, it has more to do with people finding it ''suspicious'' that it does not follow the same duration, people expected it to parallel 2nd gen's length but it actually parallels 1st gen.
The arguments about whether 4th gen started in 2018 or not are useless at this point, it has already been set that 2018 is the year, even if we have our logical doubts - media, companies and fans alike call any groups debuted in 2018 and beyond as 4th gen, when companies mediaplay they call their groups 4th gen, when media write articles, they group all these debuts together under ''4th gen'', when music shows and broadcasts make video compilations of them, they call them 4th gen, it's already been archived and put in people's consciousness, it would be hard to revision that, as I said, media and companies alike made sure to testify it, which wasn't the case back in 3rd gen so it was self-defined more naturally and there was space for revision if it needed be. Hybe hasn't stopped signal boosting 4th gen headlines and titles since the start of 2019, ZZZ line are always grouped together as 4th gen by media, broadcasts, award shows, etc., and all three became active in 2018 and fought for rookie awards alongside, same thing with G-idle and IZONE, basically it's already a done deal, and the 3.5 cut off became 2017 instead, even though it could have just as easily been 2018-2019 if companies and media never started advocating for 4th gen.
If 4th gen lasts roughly 6 years it will show that 2nd gen was simply the exception to the rule and it lasted longer than intended due to social and cultural reasons and the booming of kpop at that time thus the title ''golden age'' of kpop. However, if 4th gen ends up being longer, this will prove that there is likely a pattern where rather than each generation being shorter, it's more like every second generation is longer than the previous. For some reason the cultural, social and success patterns that 1st and 3rd gen experienced were such a novelty in their respective eras that both of these generations were ''accelerated'', in contrary 2nd gen was building upon the novelty that 1st gen acts kick-started and companies took their time to nurture the ''golden age'' for longer and familiarize.
How long generations last depends on what time it will take for someone/something to re-inflate the bubble to similar levels, and how fast companies are able to recognize that moment.
In conclusion, yes 4th gen did start in 2018 but was indeed somewhat rushed thus why all the debates, and rather than each gen getting shorter it's more likely that each second gen takes a longer time to absorb what was kick-started by the previous generation, kind of like when you are rushing for too long there comes a point where you need to slow down a bit in order for there to be a balance. That or they all just have different durations based on their different climates and the unpredictability should always be taken into consideration.
